Organocatalysis: A Tool of Choice for the Enantioselective Nucleophilic Dearomatization of Electron-Deficient Six-Membered Ring Azaarenium Salts

چکیده

Nucleophilic dearomatization of azaarenium salts is a powerful strategy to access 3D scaffolds interest from easily accessible planar aromatic azaarene compounds. Moreover, this approach yields complex dihydroazaarenes by allowing the functionalization scaffold simultaneously step. On other side, organocatalysis nowadays recognized as one pillars asymmetric catalysis field research and well-known afford high level enantioselectivity for myriad transformations thanks well-organized transition states resulting low-energy interactions (electrostatic and/or H-bonding interactions…). Consequently, in last fifteen years, has met great success nucleophilic salts. This review summarizes work achieved up date organocatalyzed (mainly pyridinium, quinolinium, quinolinium acridinium salts). A classification organocatalytic mode activation will be disclosed shedding light on their related advantages drawbacks.
